Probably one of the best things to do is to rid the dwelling of any remains of the person who has
left. If you are trying to get over a relationship, nothing is worse than constant reminders. Maybe you take
a whole weekend and just clean the house and rearrange everything. Don’t have anything in the same place and
removes as many objects from the relationship as possible. Remember, out of sight, out of mind. Maybe a change in the interior is needed. If possible, change the furniture
or walls. It is amazing what a new look will do to the house or apartment you live in.
Try finding a hobby. By all means, keep yourself busy. By keeping a busy schedule, you will have
less time to think about your ex. Maybe your hobby is something you have never done before that you thought
about doing. This would be a good time to take it up. Or maybe instead of a hobby, you find someone new to
talk to. Doesn’t have to be a member of the opposite sex, just someone you can vent to and listen to your
problems. You may find someone with the same problem that can offer relationship break up advice to.
Maybe, just maybe, your hobby might be to get a new pet. House training may be interesting, but at least you
will not have someone talking back to you all the time. A pet will also never argue with you. Just be careful
how big the pet is, it may take up the whole bed.
Another thing to consider may be a career change. Did you take a certain job because of an
individual? Do they still work there? A good thing may be to get away from the elements that they were in.
Or, instead of a career change, maybe a change in scenery is needed. Maybe there are other locations around the area where you can go to get
away from the environment you were in. Another possibility is to change cities and find a job with a
different company. Just remember, there are a lot of times where change is good.
Just because the relationship is over, doesn’t mean your life is over. There are several things to
do to mend back the pieces once the break up occurs. Ridding yourself of reminders is a good way to start.
More than that is needed of course. You need to keep yourself busy. Find a pet, hobby or new friend to fill
in the gaps. You may end up finding the relationship break up advice you need. Changing your career or
changing scenery may be another way to rid yourself of the reminders you care to get rid of. The relationship
may be over, but life goes on.
